Eva Röper

Chair of Computational Intelligence
Eva Röper is a research associate and co-project manager at the Chair of Computational Intelligence at the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg. She obtained her bachelor's and master's degree in computer science with an emphasis on artificial intelligence from the Otto von Guericke University in 2020 and 2024, respectively.
Research and Project Work
Eva Röper is working on methods for multi-objective, multi-swarm path planning, which entail coordinating multiple swarms of different robotic platforms. She mainly focuses on coverage path planning. As a research associate on the ZIM-project "Aimess Intelligenter Farm Roboter", she started with coverage path planning for ground vehicles on agricultural fields. At the beginning of 2025, she took on a co-project management role for the EFRE-project "MetaSwarmX". This expanded her coverage path planning research to other robotic platforms, such as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). She is also working on innovization for route planning - a methodology for reusing knowledge from route planning problems for the optimisation of similar ones.
